Drug Delivery Collaborations

Vivamer's research is currently focused on the exemplification of the responsive polymer chemistry as a drug delivery system for solid tumors. The company is initially using the established anti-cancer drug, doxorubicin, to demonstrate the capabilities of the system. This will enable the company to provide potential partners with quantitative benefits of using a responsive drug delivery system over a non-formulated drug.

Vivamer is interested in exploring potential partnerships with biotechs or pharmaceutical companies to co-develop the novel polymer-encapsulated doxorubicin. Vivamer is also open to the possibility of collaborations with drug delivery specialists that wish to broaden their portfolio of product offerings.

In future, Vivamer intends to develop drug/delivery products in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies that provide the active therapeutic compound. These projects will be structured to include costs of research, milestone payments and royalties on product sales. Pharmaceutical partners will be granted a sub-license for specific named delivery applications.

Imaging Collaborations

Novel imaging agents can be developed to exploit both MRI and fluorescence modalities. A long circulating imaging agent for blood pool imaging and responsive agents for solid tumor imaging have been synthesized.

Vivamer is open to collaborations with imaging equipment manufacturers to develop these technologies further or to create other novel imaging agents.
